Not everything is possible. There are things that are simply beyond our reach…things that physically or mentally we will never be able to achieve. Quite simply, we have limitations.
No amount of effort will make the impossible possible. There are odds which will never be overcome.
The confusing thing about the human condition is that it’s not easy to define and identity limitations without first testing where they sit. What appears, at first glance, to be outside our understanding of our own parameters may be seen in a different light if properly examined.
We spend time creating our own roadblocks. We are reluctant to push ourselves beyond that which we see as our own boundaries.
The problem with that mentality is that we then have a tendency to resist a challenge because we fear failure. But choosing not to try is deciding ahead of time that what we desire is outside our scope of potential achievement.
We blame the world and circumstance for conspiring to kill our dreams when, in reality, we have become our own worst enemy by pivoting to an attitude of defeat.
What’s needed is a healthy dose of self-belief. We have to understand that our potential is far greater than we realise…that far greater things are possible.
It may not be possible to reach the heights that we dream of reaching but staying at ground level could mean living with a sense of defeat and disappointment.
Untested, our potential is unrealised.
We are all capable of far more than we realise.
