Tipping The Balance

Natural curiosity is the driving force behind the pursuit of knowledge.

The need to know and understand stays with us throughout our lifetime. And there is always something new to learn.

Undiscovered truths and experiences await. If we seek there’s a very good chance that we will find. Avoidance or selective ignorance results in confusion and heartache. The choice is ours.

Mental wellbeing is a balance between that which is happening around us and that which is happening inside of us. The balance needs to be nurtured and managed. It requires both focus and energy.

Even the best of efforts, however, can overlook the fact that we are not only psychologically stronger than we give ourselves credit for being but we are also more knowledgeable.

History repeats itself and that is every much as true at an international level as it is at a personal level.

There are a great many occasions where we need reminding, not educating.

The passion or excitement of the moment can help us forget past experience and the lessons learned.

The still, small voice inside us remains unheard. The answers we have are clouded and concealed by the immediacy of the occasion or event.

We are destined to go down the same pathways many times on our way through life. Pain and confusion will be repeated.

It’s vital to realise and accept that many of the answers we seek are already sitting inside our head and our heart.

We need to be more patient with ourselves. More than that we need to practice self-kindness.

We are more than we give ourselves credit for being.

Right here, right now…we are enough.
