Now Is The Time

The most effective way to make the world a better place is to put effort into being a better person.

It’s not possible to reach the point of ultimate perfection. There will always be room for improvement. We all live and function within a circle of influence. There are people watching what we do…listening to what is being said. The potential is there for us to be agents of change. But in order to maximise that potential  we must first change ourselves.

The important thing to keep in mind is that while we all have the capacity for improvement and we all have the capability for improvement, we don’t necessarily have the time.

If we have the desire to see the world be a safer, more caring place in which to live then it’s imperative that we take action to make it so.

And the time to start is now…this day…this hour…this minute.

Effective change starts small and it begins at ground level. Every macro began with a micro. Without action, however, there will be no change, no improvement. If, as a society, there is no forward movement, no progression stagnation results. The same applies to individuals. And, at its core, society is nothing more than a collection of individuals.

Choice is a significant challenge. More significant still is the responsibility of reaction.

We are what we think but our thoughts are devalued if they are not backed up by action.

It’s what we think about the thoughts we have and what we do with what we decide that makes all the difference.

The way we think can change as we grow and accumulate knowledge and experience…but only if we allow that change into our lives.

We choose if we want to be better versions of ourselves.  We decide if we want the world to be a better place.

There’s no time like the present.

  1. A timely reminder that amidst the horrors that we witness each day in the world, our own personal efforts to spread positivity, hope and kindness are not lost – even the smallest efforts are not in vain and will hopefully bring about some good.
