There is no time like the present. Now is here and it is happening in real time.
It can also be said that there is no time like the past. Nor is there no time like the future. But what has been is done and no-one knows what is to come. Our next breath is the most important one in our life. The awareness that we are experiencing right now needs to be understood and appreciated.
Time is valuable and its value is measured by its unpredictability. We have the power to decide to do what we will with the time that we have. More importantly, we have the responsibility to make the most of the time that we have.
It’s important to plan the use of our time. It’s also important that we prioritise how we will spend that time.
But plans and priorities are a waste of effort if they fail to result in action.
We can choose to ignore the value of time we have. We can allow it to pass without recognition. Conversely we can be reckless.
The responsibility for how we manage time lies with the individual. There are guidelines and suggestions. There is help and support. Ultimately, however, no-one can use the time we have other than the person we are.
It’s important, therefore, to choose wisely….and that means making the most of the day we have and the hours it offers to us.
Yesterday is gone and tomorrow may demand a shift in focus or a redirection. That leaves us with the time and space we occupy at this very minute.
There is a need to be present where and when we are and to make the most of the time that we have while it is still ours.
