It’s normal to occasionally feel that the space we are occupying at any given point in time is not the place we are meant to be.
It’s not unusual to experience what is know as imposter syndrome…to question ourselves and the life we are leading…to doubt our skills and abilities and the way we are applying them to our everyday existence.
We can look around and wonder at how we got to where we are. More than that we can start to doubt our potential to maintain our position.
But self doubt need not be a negative thing. Rather than weaponising it we should be celebrating it.
It’s important to take the time to step back from the here and now and examine our situation as dispassionately as possible. We need to see where we are in order to be able to see where we want to be.
When we find ways to do what we do but do it better our situation will change. If we see then we must do. When we adjust our perception and use the fresh picture to take action we can improve the life we are living…if that is what we want.
Change need not be dramatic but it must be positive. What happens around us can drag us down. That makes it all the more important to work on what is happening inside us to ensure we get the most acceptable result.
If we want the best possible relationship, the best possible job or the best possible life we must do something about it. Inaction brings nothing more than stagnation.
It’s only after we understand and accept where we are that we can decide whether that is where we want to be or if we want change.
No-one can make that decision for us.
