The best teacher is experience. Observation and theory may help when it comes to preparation but there is nothing that can be compared to the knowledge gained by being there and going through it.
For that reason alone advice and direction offered without solicitation must be carefully considered.
Nothing trumps actuality. There is no substitute for direct involvement in an event whether physical, mental or spiritual.
No amount of speculation, expectation or anticipation can ensure the desired reaction to something either unexpected or feared.
We will know when we are there. Real time actuality is the telling force. Until such time much of what we experience or imagine remains surreal.
Ultimately it’s the lesson learned that is of prime importance. How we react to what we have is of far more significance than how we think we might react to something we have yet to acquire or encounter.
Seeing should never be allowed to be the primary criteria when it comes to believing. Equally so understanding involves far more than hearing. It’s important to put faith in what we know to be true.
The accumulation of reactions and the sum total of personal, relevant information gathered is what amounts to experience.
Life can be as challenging or rewarding as we choose to make it. But it takes continuous effort and unfailing focus to make the most of what we have and build it into a solid platform from which to launch our efforts aiming for what we want and who we want to be.
More time looking within is always advisable.
