Believe And Begin

Between the two extremes of intention and outcome lies a sea of potential disappointment and error. What we want is not always what we get.

But while failure is an option, so too is success. The telling factor is the effort expended. Change for the better takes work. Change for the worse can require little more than negligence and sloth.

No matter the outcome, we are both strengthened and changed when we put the effort into making an attempt.

There are people who believe that good things happen to those who wait. And while that may have an element of truth, none of us is aware of how much time we have.

The clock is ticking. We know what we want. Most have a potential strategy for achieving goals. The necessary element is action.

Dissatisfaction and disappointment need not be the end of the journey because that discounts the value of the lessons learned along the way.

Each new day offers a fresh opportunity for accomplishment. We choose whether to accept that offer or ignore it.

Excuses are available in abundance. A reason can always be found when we fall short of a set target.

What we need is realism…and an understanding of ourselves and our own potential.

There is always room for improvement. There is always another step forward that can be taken.

True and sustainable success is incremental. Nothing starts without a beginning. And belief.
