There comes a time when it is absolutely essential that we unhook, disconnect and rest our minds. The alternative is that we run the risk of becoming unhinged.
Inbuilt warning systems serve to warn us when the time is right. We feel them. We hear them. The problem is that those warnings can be ignored. Reaction or inaction. The choice is ours and ours alone.
We know when we need to make the changes that will benefit our head, heart and soul. But we have a tendency to argue against that knowledge.
We sacrifice ourselves for our job. We sacrifice ourselves for our family. Responsibility comes before rest in every part of our lives.
Ultimately we run the risk of giving all we have to give to the point where there is nothing left for anyone, particularly ourself. When all the taking has been done and when all the giving is over we can be left alone and damaged.
While it’s always possible to restore, regain and revive it’s far better to take action before the crisis point is reached. While we are still able we have to not only consider what would be best for our self and our sanity but we must take action to ensure that it happens. It is more than a little unwise to ignore the warning signs.
We need to make the time to feel the earth beneath our feet. We need to create the space to permit ourself the opportunity to stare at the sky and think of nothing in particular.
Problems and challenges will always exist. Peace is something we have to work to find.
