So much energy put into the effort of attempting to make things the way we would prefer them to be. What we want, however, is not always what we get or what we need.
A lot of emotional and physical strength is wasted struggling with issues and individuals over which we have neither control nor influence.
For that reason alone it’s important that we recognise our own limitations and, in so doing, established some protective boundaries. We need to take care of the person we are.
