Win, Lose Or More

Action without planning is inadvisable. Better to make a considered decision before doing or saying something that could later prove to be regrettable. Haste can result in waste. But planning without action is little more than an exercise in frustration.

Every day comes with possibilities…the chance to change direction…to do something different. However every day we find ways to avoid turning possibilities into opportunities. Everyone has their own litany of lost prospects.

Fear of failure robs us of the strength and passion to alter our trajectory even when we know that change is not only desirable but often necessary.

Within us we carry the answers to many of the questions we are most afraid of asking. The problem is that we shield ourselves from the truth because the truth demands a reaction.

We can convince ourselves that the possible is impossible simply because we know that no-one can make the effort but ourselves. Defeat becomes our “go to” position well before the battle has begun.

A refusal to recognise and accept our own potential and our own strength results in inaction and inaction leads to a stalemate. Worse still, it leads to a lack of confidence.

A plan followed by action can result in either success or failure. To do nothing is to risk nothing. To risk nothing is to achieve nothing.

The fear of success often outweighs the fear of failure and that can become our stumbling block…a restriction of own creation. The walls we build to keep the world out also keep us in.

Each new day brings with it new opportunities…the chance to take a different direction…the possibility to become a better version of ourselves.

The choice is ours and ours alone to make.
