The Choice Of Change

History shows us that while there may have been occasional pauses between mass conflicts there has never been world peace. Each and every day somewhere in the world disagreement between people results in dispute and dispute leads to aggression. Common ground is as rare as common sense.

Despite that it’s important we do not lose sight of the ideal of compassion. Our eyes should always be on the prize.

We can all play a part by changing our perspective from external to internal. It’s what happens through the individual that impacts what happens around the individual. Who we are shapes what we are and the space we occupy.

If everyone made more of an effort to be the very best version of themselves families would be different, communities would be different and countries would be different.

Politics do not change the person it’s the person who changes the politics. But the process of change starts by examining the person we are.

The key is knowing what we believe and knowing why we believe it. It’s only by knowing and liking the person we are that we can truly get to know and like those around us.

Confusion is a result of the heart and the head being in misalignment. Although individually generated, confusion can be contagious. It’s at that stage that it becomes dangerous.

We need to be at peace with ourselves and that is achievable despite our past and present circumstances.

Change is possible but change is a choice.

The world peace principle starts with personal peace and understanding.

While the big picture may be too big to comprehend the smaller picture is a reflection of the person we choose to be.
