In a fast-paced world where all too often we expect instant gratification patience can be in short supply.
Stress and anxiety levels are boosted when we are delayed. We want what we want and we want it now. But the gap between expectation and reality can be an uncomfortable and sometimes lonely space to occupy.
It’s easy to lose sight of the fact that resolution is tied to the passage of time. Given enough of the latter the former will happen. Some answers and solutions come quickly. Others, though, drag on.
There’s some reassurance in the fact that every beginning has an end…every start a finish.
What may have been a crisis becomes a memory. Old challenges are replaced by new challenges as our life’s journey continues.
Finding the inner strength to do what needs to be done and then waiting for the result can be tiring.

A clue could be to hasten slowly. A more gentle way forward may be to give it time.
