Meaning More To Me

Change is not necessarily calamitous or catastrophic. More often than not change is subtle and incremental. The only certainty is that change is a reality.

Who and what we were a decade ago can be vastly different to who and what we are today. What we once thought can vary greatly from what we now think.

Not all change is positive. A shift in thinking and behaviour can be a shift in the wrong direction.

Part of our self care regime should be re-assessment. It’s only by asking questions of ourselves that we can hope to find the answers that will help us survive and prosper as individuals and, therefore, as contributing members of our community.

Re-assessment means making comparisons. It’s essential, however, that those comparisons are self with self. Anything more can make us judgemental.

It’s in recognising our own shortcomings and going into battle with our own demons that we gain strength and resilience.

Everyone is personally responsible. Those who neglect or ignore that responsibility do so at their own peril.

Our own world can be as rich as we choose to make it. The greater good is only served by personal effort.

Every day presents us with a fresh opportunity to work on making our own life better.

For that alone, we should be grateful.

Seize the day.
