In the final analysis it’s the who we surround ourselves with that is far more important than the what.
Accepting that people are more important than goods and chattels we must also be reassured of our own self-worth.
We all mean something to someone, even at our lowest point. There is value and worth in being even if, at times, that can be hard to see.
Friendships and relationships are a vital contributor to mental wellbeing as well as to physical and psychological health.
But it takes effort and it can take commitment. The world will continue to move around us and past us no matter what we decide will be our contribution. It’s when we allow the world to move through us that we benefit the most.
We are all part of a far greater picture and we all have a role to play. It’s important to observe but it’s far more important to participate.
There is a reason for our existence and it’s up to the individual to discover what that reason is and how to make the most of it in the interests of personal peace and the greater good.
We all have a need to take but it is up to the individual to choose how much to give.
Ensuring our head and heart are working in unison is the first step.
