Little Piece Of Peace

It can be more than a little difficult to accept the fact that the decisions, actions and attitudes of others can so profoundly impact on our own lives, plans and dreams.

To that extent, what we want and intend can be beyond our direct control.

One single negative action by someone we know or even someone we have never had any contact with can force a re-evaluation of everything we had imagined was ahead for us. And that one single action can be either malicious or unintended.

We spend our lives changing, adapting and accepting. Either that or we spend our lives fixed, resolute and disapproving. A life well lived is a mix of all those sentiments.

It’s only by accepting the inevitability of change that we can maintain a reasonable mental balance.

At the same time, however, we must accept our personal responsibility for ensuring that the impact we have on the lives of others is as positive and supportive as we can make it.

If we expect good things then we must be prepared to offer good things and that’s never truer than it is when it comes to spirit, intent and action.

The space we inhabit in the world in which we live is moulded by ourselves. It can take considerable effort to deal with the peaks and the troughs.

We should never lose sight of the need to reach out and help others navigate their life’s journey as peacefully and happy as they are able.
