Maximise The Moment

As much as most people prefer to sidestep the issue of mortality it remains as the great inescapable and unavoidable.

But it’s not the fact that our time will come to an end that should consume our thoughts and actions, it should be all about the time that we have.

Life should be focused on making the most of what is ours while we have it.

Anxiety is fear of the unknown and we all suffer from anxiety to a great or lesser degree.

We know what we did yesterday, we know what it is that we’re doing at this very point in time but it’s not possible to know what will happen tomorrow. What we have done and what we are doing will affect what we will do but there are no guarantees.

We have no greater power than the power we have at this very moment. Only the individual can decide what he will do with that power. It can be appreciated and used or ignored and wasted.

It should be all about maximising the moment rather than fearing the future. But to do that effectively it’s necessary to be in the moment…to be present…to appreciate the fact that we are…to see what’s around us through what’s within us.

To do that we must understand that we are unique and that gives us both value and importance.

And that makes this moment very special.
