Enough Is Enough

It’s possible that those around us who live like there’s no tomorrow may know something we don’t. But while it’s vital that we make the effort to be in the moment, that we do our bit to make today count, we must also acknowledge the fact that tomorrow will be a new day and certain preparations need to be made.

Perceptions of tomorrow vary individual to individual. Anticipation can be coloured either by promise or dread.

We can make assumptions about tomorrow based on the experiences of today. We can set our lives on repeat and regret or shift the focus to change and challenge.

While it’s not true that anything is possible because some things are clearly beyond that realm, a fresh, new tomorrow brings with it another chance to right wrongs, to step forward, to choose how to think and how to be.

We are masters of our own destiny. Throughout our life’s journey we are presented with opportunities and setbacks. That much alone is fate. We determine our own destiny based on our own decisions.

Accepting the challenge and responsibility of personal responsibility can be daunting…but it is absolutely essential.

Seizing the day and making the most of it is possible. If that prospect is too frightening begin by seizing the moment. Right now we can make a difference in our lives simply by acknowledging that we are enough.
