External distractions and challenges result in internal turmoil. We all struggle with the issues we choose to take on board and others that are forced upon us.
It’s not always easy living in a community. It can be difficult being part of a family. For some the struggle is far more intense. They are the ones who have trouble living with themselves. Life is work.
We all seek inner peace but the calm we desire can be hard to find when all around us is chaos. The degree of difficulty, however, should not dissuade us from making the effort. Some days are better than others.
Not only are we responsible for our own happiness but we have a general duty of care to our inner self. Our life is ours to live and no-one else can do it for us.
The sooner that concept is grasped and understood the better it is not only for ourselves but for those around us.
What we do with what we have and what happens to us and through us is what will determine the quality of life we lead.
How we react determines how we will act. Although we will not always get it right the ultimate reward for persistence can be the inner peace we desire.
The potential is in us all.
