Little Things Count

Significant events can change our lives in a heartbeat. What we have may be taken from us. What we want may suddenly be in reach.

Despite that, it’s the little things that count.

Every day is filled with little things…words, thoughts, fleeting glances, happy moments, random kindness.

When it’s all said and done there are far more little things in our lives than there are major events. But while the big things are sure to grab our attention, the little things can slip by unnoticed and unappreciated.

We can get so caught up in the drama of the day that we miss the comfort of the moment.

Life is an accumulation of small things. It’s important to notice and enjoy the here and now because it leads to the there and then.

The big picture is important but the delight is often in the detail.

The way to reduce stress and worry is to look for the little things that are positive and good and hold them close.

If we take the time to experience more appreciation than anticipation we will live happier lives. If we spend more time in the moment our moments will give us more time.

Every day is a new opportunity with both challenges and rewards. It’s up to the individual to decide which will have the greater impact.
