Up On The Stage

There are three important stages in everyone’s life…where we were, where we are and where we will be. The first determines the second and the second very much determines the third.

Placement is linked with personality. Who we are today is not who we were yesterday and not who we will be tomorrow.

It’s not just the world around us that is changing. We, too, are in a constant state of flux. The changes we see around us can be graphic and confronting. That which is happening inside us is more subtle and more significant and hidden from the view of the general public.

If only for that reason alone it’s vital we remain in contact with the person we are; that we don’t become a stranger to ourselves.

We may no longer be able to identify the person we were and we are unable to predict the person we will become. That leaves us with the responsibility of knowing and understanding the person we are today.

Contentment can be drawn from our surroundings but happiness comes from within.

The effort we put into making today a better day is effort not wasted. We will benefit as will those around us.

Sanity and serenity are both possible. Whether or not they are attainable is up to the individual.

Seize the moment.
