Towards A Better Tomorrow

In everything we do, in everything we think and in everything we are there is always room for improvement.

We can be better tomorrow than we are today…and that fact should always be seen as impetus and not impediment.

So much of the confusion we face in life is because we are easily distracted. What starts as motivation can quickly become procrastination.

Our own unmet targets and expectations generate anxiety diverting attention from the enjoyment of the moment. It’s when those moments become minutes, the minutes become hours and the hours become days that we can find ourselves in a dark place that was not of our choosing.

It’s vital that we take the time to enjoy the moment…the here…the now.

It’s important too that we accept that tomorrow starts today and that makes today very special.

Many of us will not not be around to enjoy the luxury of another tomorrow. Hopes, dreams and plans will come to nothing.

That’s not to encourage a reckless or careless lifestyle. Throwing caution to the wind is not the answer.

But every day we live is special and we should live every day. The way to do that is to work on finding a balance between head, heart and gut. We should trust our gut, feel our heart and listen to our head.

In doing that we must accept that perfection is merely a concept. At the same time it’s important to understand that happiness, satisfaction and fulfillment are all within our grasp.

The world tells us that life is an externalised competition…that it’s all about acquisition.

The truth is that life is an internalised state of being…it’s not about what we can get it’s about what we can give.

Who we are is what we will be remembered for.
