The Lie Of Limitation

Belief in the lie of limitation prevents us from realising our true potential. But we are enough if we allow ourselves to be so.

The world around us conspires to convince us of our own inadequacy and to point out our failings. It’s when we compare and contrast the person we are with the people in our immediate and extended community that self-doubt can gain the upper hand.

The real battle is not with other people. The real battle is with ourselves.

Stress, depression and anxiety come from within fuelled by our reaction to the things that happen around us and to us.

Happiness, satisfaction and self-fulfillment are also emotions and experiences that come from within.

It’s all about what we do with what we have. It’s personal. And we have a responsibility to ourselves to push the boundaries of the limitations we impose on ourselves while critically evaluating the limitations placed on us by others.

The focus should always be on being the best version of ourselves. That’s the real and most important challenge.

Recognising and accepting the need for change is the first and most important step. Implementation should be done by degrees because disappointment can be a major deterrent if not handled correctly.

Everyone of us has unrealised potential. Who we are is not who we were nor is it who can become. Realising that adds a new level of excitement to today and to tomorrow.

The challenge is ours and ours alone. First, though, we face the need to turn the lie of limitation into the power of possibility.

There are those who will offer us encouragement and direction but both lack value if there is no personal commitment.

The truth is that we are enough…and yet we all have the capacity to be so much more.
