Opportunity Is Knocking

There’s opportunity in every day…a time or times when a set of circumstances converge presenting the chance to take action…an invitation to do rather than simply to be.

As such an invitation insists on a decision. Acceptance or ignorance; to embrace or reject…the choice is there for the individual to make.

It’s important to be open to opportunity…to be attuned…to prepare for the moment.

A chance missed can be a chance regretted. The same can be said for the choice that is made.

Not every opportunity presents a set of circumstances leading to a positive outcome. Vigilance is not the only prerequisite. Intelligence is every bit as important. It’s only by having a clear understanding of what we want that we can hope to pursue it. A lack of commitment leads to confusion.

Life requires us to choose a direction. Events and incidents conspire to deflect us from that chosen direction. We can become dispirited. We can languish. Opportunities arise to offer us the option to regather, refocus and relaunch. The alternative is to stagnate.

Every new day brings with it new possibilities and it’s when possibility combines with opportunity that we have to be prepared to act.

The objective should always be to work towards becoming a better version of ourselves. The idea is not only to glow where we are but to grow to where we will be.

It’s a continuous and continuing process and one which requires concerted effort and diligence but the rewards are immeasurable.

One person can make a difference. We should never lose sight of the truth that the combined impact of individual efforts should never be underestimated.

And it’s reassuring to know that failure itself is nothing less than the opportunity to begin again, this time with the benefit of the lesson learned.
